Great interview, Christoph and Scott. It’s always interesting to hear how a pro skater transitions into the behind-the-scenes side of footwear design. The part about giving every project a chance really resonates, and I love that the Echelon line is carving out its own space for people who want classic style without screaming branding. Also, the idea of making a soccer shoe that works for skating is such a cool crossover concept. While I’m not a designer, I do like keeping track of gear and details — I actually use a pal checklist to stay organized with all the little things I’m testing or rotating through. It helps me appreciate the thought that goes into each design, the same way Scott talks about pulling inspiration from everyday people. Thanks for sharing this behind-the-scenes look!
