What's next? Suggestions please.

For the next review project I’m planning to try something new. You, the readers, will be able to get involved a bit more. Most probably there’s going to be a vote. Right now I’m figureing out which shoes will be options and I already came up with some ideas, I don’t want to reveal them for now though. But since there are so many brands and models I’d like to give you a place to tell me YOUR suggestions as well.

What shoe should the next review be about?

Please write your suggestions as comments to this post. I won’t promise anything, but if a shoe will be named severeal times, it will at least be considered as a voting option.

A true classic, Vans Era would be nice! Especially suede or syndicate ones.

Would love to see how one of the new school vans perform under your testing (which is a brilliant analysis on skate shoes, and something that has been missing in all the other ‘shoe tests’ out there).

I’m skating AV Era’s at the moment, so they’d be top of my list (to see if your conclusions are near my own).

    Keep up the good work

Please please please review the new Gravis Dylans!

They look like no other skate shoes, most people think they’re absurd, but if you like in New York, you see Dylan skating in them whenever he shows up at a spot. I’m REALLY curious to know if they could actually function as a skate shoe. While I’m sure the shoes everyone else listed would make interesting reviews, we already own and skate these shoes (chukka, era, rival, etc.), and they are basically variations on a theme: low-profile vulcanized shoe. The Dylan is a shoe that NOONE will go out and drop $100 on just to see how they skate, and so a review on them would not only be interesting, but useful in determining whether Gravis made a debut pro-model that’s even skateable.

yeah it makes no sense to review shoes that are already classics, but maybe new shoes like CTS suedes cause i know canvas doesnt hold up well no matter how much special treatment is put into it.

and yeah an expensive shoe would be a wise choice for the leechers who whine about how long it takes for a review to come out RATHER than dropping C note and try it themselves. go with the janoskis or the bruin.

and my last recommendation. would be a non skate shoe, The Puma Clydes or suedes or any of your choice.

I agree with the Dylan suggestion.. jump on that grenade and let us all know how it is. Reviewing another classic design will result in more of the same. Half-Cab, Accel, Era, etc. would all provide an interesting read, but would also at the same time be very familiar to the majority of the readers. Those same readers have interest in just how bad is this shoe, OR, in how it could surprisingly be good.

I pray for your heels and ankles.
